Prabhsimran Singh run out after mix-up as Punjab Kings lose key wicket

A sharp piece of fielding from Sarfaraz Khan and Ruturaj Gaikwad led to the dismissal of Prabhsimran Singh during the middle overs. The Punjab Kings opener was running well on 43 off 34 balls, with 4 fours and a six, before a mix-up ended his innings.

The incident came off a delivery from Noor Ahmad when Prabhsimran nudged the ball into the mid-wicket region and went for a second run. His partner did not respond, leaving him stranded. A quick relay throw from Sarfaraz and a direct hit at the non-striker’s end by Gaikwad found Prabhsimran well short.

The wicket came at a crucial stage, as Shreyas Iyer walked in to take over at the crease. The run out halted Punjab’s momentum after a solid start, shifting the pressure back onto the middle order.
