IPL 2024: MS Dhoni does not come out for handshake as CSK veteran walks back to dressing room

Considering it was perhaps the last game where we see the veteran player, MSD’s terrible heartbreak, after RCB clinched the IPL Playoffs position.  In the much-awaited clash, RCB clinched a 27-run victory over CSK to secure their playoff berth. Dhoni was notably unhappy with the outcome after previously suggesting that he would voluntarily exit the IPL come 2024. 

Eager to win and extend his season for one more game, Dhoni powerfully struck a clean six when 17 required from the final over, threatening an eleventh-hour comeback. However, the 41-year-old phenom fell for 25 from 13 balls, straight after hitting a six out of the park.

When Ravindra Jadeja failed to chase the remaining runs for the IPL Playoffs qualifications, MS Dhoni was seen in tears and the veteran walked back to the dressing room without coming out for post-match handshake or even for an interview.

Talking about RCB, the Faf-led team made a miraculous comeback from the 10th position, fighting until the last ball to enter the IPL playoffs. With their maiden cup yet to be won, will RCB make a worthy entrance in the playoffs?
