Due to Reece Topley’s injury, Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed South African Wayne Parnell for the remainder of the Indian Premier League. RCB management has now selected Parnell to take Topley’s place. Parnell was considered one of the front-runners for the position.
Despite management’s efforts to retain him, Sanjay Bangar announced earlier that Topley had been ruled out of the game between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders. Parnell made his international debut in 2009, making him a T20 veteran. In 56 T20 matches, Parnell has taken 59 wickets at a strike rate of 18.5, with an economy rate of 8.29.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Friday named Vyshak Vijay Kumar as a replacement for the injured Rajat Patidar for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. Patidar did not feature in RCB’s first game of the season due to a heel injury. Patidar’s replacement Vyashak Vijay Kumar represents Karnataka in domestic cricket. He has played 14 T20s, scalped 22 wickets and joined RCB for INR 20 lakh.
