KKR made a good start with the opening pair of N Jagadeesan and Jason Roy providing a solid foundation. However, the KKR partnership was broken in the 10th over when RCB pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak dismissed Jagadeesan, who was caught out giving away his wicket.
Jagadeesan had struggled to get going and was looking to hit a slower bouncer from Vyshak, but didn’t get enough power to clear deep midwicket. It was a good catch by Willey, who pedalled back to take the catch.
The dismissal of Jagadeesan was a crucial breakthrough for RCB, as the KKR partnership had started to build some momentum.
