Match number 16 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will see Delhi Capitals facing off against Mumbai Indians. Both teams have yet to secure a victory in IPL 2023, with DC losing all three games played so far and MI suffering defeats at the hands of RCB and CSK in their two matches.
One of the potential changes Mumbai Indians could make for their upcoming match against Delhi Capitals is to bring in Jofra Archer to replace Tristan Stubbs. The decision to rest Archer for the previous game against CSK was merely a precautionary measure. If Archer is fit and available, he should be included in the playing eleven ahead of Stubbs.
Stubbs struggled to get accustomed to the playing conditions and failed to perform up to expectations before being dismissed. Additionally, Mumbai Indians require more support for their pace attack. As the leader of their pace attack, Jofra Archer is expected to be included in the squad if he is fit. If Archer is unavailable, then Riley Meredith could replace Stubbs in the playing eleven.
