Chennai Super Kings put in a solid performance during the power-play in their ongoing match against Punjab Kings.
The team, led by MS Dhoni, won the toss and opted to bat first.
Openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway started strongly, hitting quick fours to get the home team off to a good start. In Arshdeep Singh’s second over, the pacer conceded 13 runs, providing a boost for the Super Kings.
Rahul Chahar was brought on early to bowl the fifth over, but Ruturaj smashed him for a six. Overall, CSK looked good and appeared to be building a strong batting line-up. The pressure is now on Punjab Kings to take some wickets, or face a tough challenge in the Chennai heat.
