Shubman Gill’s 63 off 49 deliveries ensured Gujarat Titan scored a respectable total of 144 runs against Lucknow Super Giants. The battle of table-toppers expected a thrilling performance from either end, and Lucknow did keep up with its promise but Gujarat Titans’ batting collapse failed to pick the benefit of batting first. Shubman Gill, however, ensured that the side does not fall at a meager score to the blazing Lucknow. The opener kept the batting alive by scoring 63. With this feat, Shubman Gill equals the record for bagging the maximum number of the fifties, long-held by David Warner in the TATA IPL 2022. Both the players have scored 4 fifties in the season, so far, while opening the batting for their respective teams.
