IPL 2022: “I go to him every single time I am under pressure,” Faf du Plessis picks his trump card in RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 14 runs in Eliminator on Thursday night at Eden Gardens.

After Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday night, skipper Faf du Plessis reveals the name of his ‘trump card’ in the post-match interview. He feels the Indian bowler named Harshal Patel is a quality death bowler and he can soak the pressure well.

Faf du Plessis was impressed with Harshal Patel‘s bowling, especially in death overs. Harshal has been one of the important players for RCB since he joined the team as his bowling in the pressure situation and wicket-taking ability are exceptional. In the eliminator match between RCB and LSG which was played on Thursday at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, pacer Harshal Patel bowled in the right areas with the right pace to help RCB book their spot in ‘Qualifier 2’ of IPL 2022.

“He is a special card I can pick. He is a high-pressure time bowler and I can go to him every single time I’m under pressure,” said skipper Faf du Plessis in the post-match interview on Star Sports Network.

It was a nail-biting finish to the game on Thursday. Despite scoring 207 runs in the first innings RCB wasn’t looking comfortable as KL Rahul and Deepak Hooda were taking the game away from them. But, thanks to Harshal Patel and Josh Hazlewood, who gave fewer runs in death overs and took important wickets to lead the team (RCB) to victory.
