IPL 2020: SRH vs RCB: A clinical chase from Hyderabad as they win by 5 wickets on a slow Sharjah pitch
Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the all important match 52 of the Dream11 IPL 2020 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore at Sharjah which keeps their hopes alive of making it to the playoffs this season.
SRH went into the second innings having to chase a total of 121 runs in 20 overs set by RCB in the previous innings. The pitch at Sharjah was quite slow and favouring the spinners and so any sort of total would be tricky to chase. However it always felt that Bangalore were 20-25 runs short and it turned out as expected. Saha gave good stability at the top of the order scoring 39 runs in 32 balls. Manish Pandey took his team closer as he scored 26 runs in 19 balls. Jason Holder eventually won the match for Hyderabad smashing 3 huge sixes at the end.
RCB bowlers did a good job of applying pressure on SRH batsmen as they tried to defend their low total. Yuzvendra Chahal picked up 2 wickets for 19 runs, followed by a wicket each for Navdeep Saini, Isuru Udana and Washington Sundar. While Sunrisers have a must win game against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday if they wanna qualify for the playoffs, RCB too have to ensure a victory against Delhi Capitals on Monday. The winner of the Monday fixture would ensure a top 2 spot, while the losing team would have to hope that results elsewhere work in their favour for qualification.
