IPL 2020: Shane Watson to retire from all forms of cricket after IPL

Chennai Super Kings have not had the best season in IPL 2020. They believed that they will return stronger in the 14th edition of the league. Another news that will upset the Super Kings fans came through after their last match against Kings XI Punjab.

Australian cricketer Shane Watson scored only 299 runs in his 11 games for CSK. Later in the tournament, he was replaced by Ruturaj Gaikwad and the team affected well from the change.

Watson informed his teammates that he is ready to retire from all forms of cricket after the season. This also means that the player will not be seen in the yellow next year onwards. “Watson was very emotional when he told the CSK dressing room after the last game that he would retire. He said that it was a great privilege for him to play for the franchise,” a source said.

He has been a great part of the side and the franchise will miss his presence in the dressing room. He was a key player in defeating RR to win CSK win the title in his maiden stint with the side.
