Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first against Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals have had a great season but have been losing the last 3 matches. MI on the other hand has qualified for the playoffs. It is a very important match for DC so as to keep their chances of qualifying alive. Not the best start for DC as they lost there in form batsman Shikhar Dhawan in the first over itself. From there they could not form a partnership and kept losing wickets without decent runs on the board. Mumbai Indians have had good control of the match throughout.

The batting line has collapsed which the team and management would not have liked at all. MI will look for the two points so as to qualify on the first spot. They lost 7 wickets without even touching 100 runs on the scoreboard. Bumrah was the star bowler and took 3 wickets for MI. Delhi Capitals were restricted to a small score of just 110 runs after losing 9 wickets.
