  • Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab, 2020

KXIP won the toss and decided to bat first against CSK in Dubai during a pandemic hit IPL. KXIP skipper KL Rahul (63) guided KXIP to 178 in 20 overs.

In reply, CSK openers Shane Watson (83*) and Fat du Plessis (87*) demolished KXIP bowlers who looked absolutely helpless.

  • Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Lions, 2017

GL managed to score an above par 183 against KKR on the back of significant contribution from skipper Suresh Raina (68*).

In reply, KKR scripted the perfect chase as openers Chris Lynn (93*) and Gautam Gambhir (76*) chased the target in 14.5 overs showcasing their dominance.

  • Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Gujarat Lions, 2016

SRH won the toss and asked GL to bat first. GL skipper Suresh Raina (75) guided GL to score 135 on the board.

In reply, SRH destroyed GL as Warner (74*) and Shikhar Dhawan (53*) scored 137 in 14.5 overs to end GL 3 match winning streak.

  • Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab, 2013

After putting into bat by CSK, KXIP got bowled out for just 138 as only Hussey and Gurkreet contributing to the scores with 41 and 31 respectively.

In chase of 139, the CSK openers went off to a flyer as they batted flawlessly. Murali Vijay scored a run a ball 50 whereas Mike Hussey scored a 54-ball 87 as CSK finished the game without any loss in 17.2 overs.

  • Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians, 2011

MI chosen to bat against RR but their innings went with very slow pace. With Rohit Sharma scoring a fifty, Mumbai Indians managed to end up with 133 for 5.

In reply, the RR outplayed the hosts which was led by a brilliant knock from Shane Watson. Watson was well supported by Rahul Dravid as they looked in a hurry. Watson scored 89 in just 47 balls and Dravid scored 43 as the Rajasthan Royals completed the chase by 13.1 overs without losing a wicket.

  • Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Rajasthan Royals, 2010

RCB put RR into bat at their home and bundled them to just 92 with help of top order destruction by Kumble and a hattrick from Praveen Kumar breaking the middle order of the visiting team.

In chase of 93, RCB’s openers Manish and Kallis took their team towards the target without any trouble. Manish with 42 and Kallis with 44 guided RCB to a 10 wicket win with 56 balls to spare.

  •  Delhi Dardevils vs Kings XI Punjab, 2009

KXIP put DD into bat in a rain-washed match that was reduced to 12 overs. KXIP suffered a batting collapse that saw them put 104 runs on the board.

In reply, rain hit the ground again to even further reduce the match to 6 overs with a revised target of 54 for DD. Opener Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag chased the target with 7 balls to spare in this rain-washed encounter.

  • Deccan Chargers vs Mumbai Indians, 2008

DC asked MI to bat first in Wankhede. After a top order order collapse, MI managed to score 154/7 with valuable contributions from Abhisekh Nayar and Kieron Pollard.

In reply, DC thrashed MI with skipper Adam Gilchrist (109) scoring a ton in 54 balls to leave the MI bowlers clueless. VVS Laxman offered great support to Gilchrist as he remained unbeaten on 37 in his side’s 10-wicket win.
