On Friday in Ahmedabad, during Gujarat Titans’ game against Chennai Super Kings, Mohammad Shami achieved 100 wickets in the Indian Premier League.
After dismissing Devon Conway in the season-opening match against CSK, the deadly Indian pacer Shami gave the home team their first breakthrough and put early pressure on Dhoni’s team. This wicket also marked the pacer’s 100th in the Indian Premier League.
This is Shami’s second season with the Gujarat Titans. He was signed in the 2022 mega auction for Rs. 6.25 crores, and picked 20 wickets in his opening season. Shami also becomes the first bowler to take wicket in the IPL 2023.
