Faf du Plessis post a sweet message for his ex-team Chennai Super Kings

Faf Du Plessis has represented Chennai Super Kings in the IPL since 2011 and in this season he will be playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Chennai Super King on their official Twitter handle posted a video of Former South African captain, Faf Du Plessis, where he is thanking the franchise for letting him serve for over 10 years. Faf has now exited the Chennai Franchise as he has been bought by Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB) for Rs 7 crores at the IPL Auction 2022, Day 1.

Faf said on a video posted by Chennai Super Kings official Twitter account, “Thank you to Chennai, the fans, the staff, the management, and the players for what has been a decade with one team. I’ve enjoyed my time a lot, I’ll miss everyone there but as one door closes, a new one opens up and that comes with great opportunities. I’m excited to see what the future holds, so from me and my family, thank you very much.”

RCB might have found their captain by buying Faf Du Plessis at the auction. They have made sure to find a player who can get into the shoes of a captain after Virat Kohli stepped down from the post.

The 37-year-old has represented Chennai Super Kings since 2011 and is now all set to play against them in this season’s IPL.
