Dwayne Bravo announces retirement from Indian Premier League

Dwayne Bravo will serve as a bowling coach of CSK in the upcoming IPL 2023.

Trinidadian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has announced his retirement from the Indian Premier League. One of the best all-rounders of the tournament won’t be seen playing in the ‘Yellow’ again. The two-time purple cap winner (Dwayne Bravo) wasn’t retained by his former franchise named Chennai Super Kings this year ahead of the IPL 2023 auction.

Dwayne Bravo had a wonderful IPL career as he became one of the best CSK players to play in the tournament. Not just the IPL trophy but he has also won two Champions League trophies with Chennai Super Kings (CSK). MS Dhoni and Dwayne Bravo have an amazing bond and thus the Trinidadian all-rounder has decided to stay with the team for the IPL 2023.

Dwayne Bravo will serve as the bowling coach of CSK in the upcoming IPL 2023. The pace bowler Dwayne Bravo and Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowler named Bhuvneshwar Kumar are the only two pacers who have won the ‘purple cap’ two times.

“I’m looking forward to this new journey because it’s something I see myself doing after my playing days are fully over. I enjoy working with bowlers and it’s a role I’m excited about. From player to coach, I don’t think I have to adjust much,” said Dwayne Bravo in the video posted by Chennai Super King’s official Instagram handle.
