Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Skipper Virat Kohli was happy as he wanted to bat first anyway. With three changes in the RCB squad, Joshua Philippe and Devdutt Padikkal opened the innings as Finch was sitting out. An explosive opening from the youngsters gave a good start to RCB. Devdutt scored a half-century and went on to score 70 plus runs for the side. After the openers went back, the side also started losing wickets quickly.
