Sunrisers Hyderabad have had a horrid start to their Dream11 IPL 2020 campaign. While it is still early days in a long tournament, SRH have been hit with injuries within their squad which have further harmed the balanced of their squad.

The over-dependence on their top order in David Warner, Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey has been exposed in the first couple of games as the openers have not quite yet found their rhythm with the bat in hand. Marquee batsman Kane Williamson had been injured prior to the first game itself. During the season opener for Hyderabad, overseas all-rounder Mitchell Marsh picked up a serious ankle injury ruling him out of the tournament entirely, followed by the injury to all-rounder Vijay Shankar keeping him out for a couple of games as well. Such unfortunate events have hampered any sort of progress SRH were looking to make in the tournament.
They do have enough quality in their squad with Afghan spin duo in Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi, as well as a decent bowling attack with the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Khaleel Ahmed. The middle-order batting still remains a concern for the Sunrisers and they would have to make considerable improvement in that department if they want to give themselves any chance of winning the game against Delhi, and in the broader picture they have to improve and find the right balance to give themselves a chance throughout the tournament. The IPL has the most supreme amount of talent and quality when it comes to the play on the field and so finding their groove is very essential for the Sunrisers before it is too late.
