Dream11 IPL 2020 KXIP VS CSK first innings: KXIP post 178 against CSK

KXIP were on course to post a humongous total before suffering a mini batting-collapse against CSK in the 18th match of Dream11 IPL

KXIP managed to score 178 runs against CSK in the 18th match of Dream11 IPL. However KXIP will be disappointed as they looked set to score more than 200+ with Rahul and Pooran set.

KXIP won the toss and elected to bat first considering the track record at Dubai international stadium. Skipper KL Rahul and opener Mayank Agarwal combined a 61 run partnership before the latter losing his wicket.

KL Rahul continued his fine run of form as he completed 1500 runs for KXIP over the course of 3 seasons.

Skipper KL Rahul (63) also completed his half century and had a solid 50 run stand with Nicholas Pooran (33). Things look set for a huge total with Rahul and Pooran set at the end of 16 overs with 150 on the board. However SN Thakur removed both batsmen in consecutive deliveries to tilt the momentum back in CSK’s favour.

Meanwhile Deepak Chahar was the most economical bowler with figures of 3-0-17-0. Skipper MS Dhoni became the second wicket-keeper to take 100 catches in the IPL after KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik.

Considering the track record in Dubai which is in favour of the team batting first and CSK’s not so good from with the bat, KXIP should be confident about this total. However we cannot count CSK out.
