Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bat first. After their captaincy shifting midseason, it was Eoin Morgan’s first match as a captain. KKR had a very poor start as they lost quick wickets and did not even reach a 100 run mark till the 15th over. Rahul Chahar was exceptional with the ball as he picked two crucial wickets and only gave 18 runs in his spell. MI bowlers were very efficient and performed well for the side.
WATCH – Chahar's double wicket blow.
2 in 2 balls. First Gill, then Karthik – Rahul Chahar put a dent on the KKR batting line-up early in the innings.https://t.co/v3JvaQP3ex #Dream11IPL

Pat Cummins and Eoin Morgan started a partnership and scored runs towards the end to take KKR to a respectable score. Shubhman Gill was the only player who scored 21 runs which were the highest till Cummins came in to bat. After what looked like KKR would be restricted under 100, they managed to score 148 runs after 20 overs. Cummins scored a half-century and Morgan helped from the other end.
An invaluable FIFTY for @patcummins30 here in Abu Dhabi.
