CSK vs DC IPL 2020 Match 7: Delhi Capitals claim a commanding win over the Chennai Super Kings by 44 runs

In the previous innings Delhi Capitals set a target of 176 for Chennai Super Kings. Delhi Capitals win by 44 runs backed by strong batting as well as bowling display.

CSK’s openers Murli Vijay and Shane Watson got off to a slow start as K. Rabada  he conceded just 1 run in the first over. CSK lost the first wicket of Shane Watson as he was bowled by Axar Patel as he scored 14 runs in 16 balls. However, this particular wicket is Axar’s 6th wicket he took of Watson collective of all the previous IPL seasons.

Murli Vijay who”s 2nd wicket was picked out by K. Rabada as Vijay scored 10 balls in 15 runs. And then CSK’s Ruturaj Gaikwad’s wicket was lost as he was run out by Pant/Patel.

Meanwhile, Faf Du Plessis completed his 2000 IPL runs mark in this game.

CSK’s Kedar Jadhav and Faf du Plessis maintain a partnership of 50 but soon loses its 4th wicket as Kedar Jadhav loses get out in LBW and he scores 26 runs in 21 balls. The team loses its 5th wicket of Du Plessis as he’s caught out by Rishab Pant. Du Plessis scored 43 balls in 35 runs smashing 4 boundaries. CSK lost it’s 6th wicket of Skipper MS. Dhoni who was caught out by Rishabh Pant as he scored 15 runs in 12 balls. On the last ball bowled by Rabada Ravindra Jadeja’s wicket was caught by Axar Patel.

Meanwhile, Avesh Khan was an expensive bowler as he conceded 42 runs in 4 overs. Axar Patel performed brilliantly as he bowled his 4 overs and conceded only 18 runs and took 1 wicket. Another fantastic performance was seen by fast bowler Rabada as he conceded only 26 runs in his 4 overs and took 3 wickets. Anrich Nortje in his 4 overs conceded 21 runs and took 2 wickets. Amit Mishra bowled his 4 overs and conceded 23 runs.
