Mumbai Indians are the defending champions of the IPL and will play the opening match of IPL 2020 against last year’s finalists Chennai Super Kings. The side has some new additions this year such as Trent Boult and Chris Lynn amongst the others. MI is the most successful franchise’s of the league and hopes to retain the trophy this year as well.
In an interview posted by the official Instagram account of Mumbai Indians, Chris Lynn was all praises about skipper Rohit Sharma. “Being able to play the IPL for any team is a privilege and if you go to the best one then it is really special,” he said. “Rohit is a world-class player, what he’s contributed to Mumbai is something really, really special and Quinny ( Quinton de Kock ) has been incredible with the gloves, and the abt in hand” he added.
The Australian cricketer played for the Kolkata Knight Riders and has proved to be a very explosive batsman. He was part of the T10 league that took place in Abu Dhabi and feels that the conditions will be similar to when he played then. “ The history speaks for itself, their record speaks for itself, the players speak for themselves. How professional the franchise is something that I really look forward to. This is a new challenge now and I am really excited to contribute to a couple of wins” Chris added.
