IPL 2021: Indian Premier League is the biggest and the most competitive league around the world. Players from around the world love to play in the IPL. The franchises are getting ready to sign players, with auctions nearing. The teams have already retained the key players, however, in auctions, the franchise will look to sign some new talents to balance their squads. Certain players are being released by the teams and those players will once again be signed by other franchises. unfortunately, some players remain unsold despite once they were spectacular in the league.
Here’s a list of five players IPL stars that might remain unsold
1. Harbhajan Singh: The former India spinner had withdrawn his name from the IPL 2020 which was held in UAE. CSK recently released him before the auctions. Singh is now 40 and not played any cricket in a year. Though he has bowled crucial over for Mumbai Indians and CSK. The franchises are now more looking for youngsters, one of the reasons why Singh may remain unsold.
2.Moeen Ali: Though Ali is an all-rounder he hasn’t been able to cement his spot in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) though provided with several chances. Ali played three matches for RCB and just pocketed one wicket and scored 12 runs.
3.Nathan Coulter-Nile: It was quite startling to see the Australian all-rounder being released by Champions Mumbai Indians just before the IPL 2021 auctions. the continuous injuries forced him to sit during crucial games. However, the matches he played for MI, Nile was impressive. the injuries and match fitness may be a worry for the franchises that sign Nile.
4.Kedar Jadhav: CSK signed Jadhav for a whopping Rs 7.8 crore at the IPL 2018 Auctions. He was an inseparable part of the Indian ODI team back then. However, he was injured in the first match he played for the franchise. CSK release Jadhav just before the IPL 2021 Auctions. The right-handed batsman scored only 62 runs in 8 matches in the IPL 2020.
5.Jimmy Neesham: Kings XI Punjab management seemed impressed with Jimmy Neesham’s performance for New Zealand. However, when it comes to IPL some stars just fail to perform while others rise. Unfortunately for Punjab, he was the former. Neesham played five games for Punjab in which he scored just 19 runs and bagged just one wicket.
