
India claimed their comprehensive win at the T20 World Cup 2022 after defeating Netherlands by 56 runs. India won the toss and decided to bat first in the second game at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
Despite losing the first wicket in the early stage of the game India managed to put up a big total of 179/2. Three fifties were made by Indian batters Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and SuryaKumar Yadav.
While skipper Hitman was unfortunately dismissed for 53, Kohli and Surya played till the last ball taking India to a massive total. Where Kohli made his second undisputed half-century in ICC T20 World Cup 2022, SuryaKumar Yadav claimed his debut World Cup.
Kohli scored an undisputed 62 off just 44 balls with a strike rate of 140.91 which included 3 fours and 2 massive sixes. Whereas, Surya played with a destructive strike rate of 204.00 to score 51 not out off just 25 balls which included 7 fours and one six which brought his half-century.
With high-class batting, India didn’t fail to impress with the ball either. Bhuvi gave India the breakthrough by dismissing Vikramjit Singh (1) in a maiden with a wicket over.
Bhuvaneshvar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh took two wickets each whereas Mohammad Shami managed to take one wicket. Both the ace spinners Ravindra Ashwin and Axar Patel struck two wickets each.
India completely dominated to keep their winning streak in the game to top the table in group 2 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
