Indian women’s cricket team limited-overs skipper Mithali Raj reclaimed the number one spot in ICC  women’s ODI rankings. Due to her magnificent performance in the three-match series against England women’s, she comes on the top spot. Though her team lost the series by 1-2 she hit a half-century in each of the contests.

In the first two ODIs, she knocked 72 runs and 59 runs and guided India to a four-wicket victory in the final match of the series. Mithali Raj gained four points to climb to the top of the ladder. She had last occupied the top spot in 2018.

In 2005, for the first time, she was in the number spot after batting beautifully and scoring 91 against New Zealand at the ICC Cricket World Cup in Potchefstroom. She is currently leading with a 762 rating point. After Mithali, South African Lizelle Lee is standing at the number two spot with 758 rating points. Australia’s Alyssa Healy is ranked third with 756 rating points.

The fourth spot is taken by England’s Tammy Beaumont with 754 rating points. A few days back she was at the top, but now Mithali overtook her. West Indian batsman Stefanie Taylor is at the fifth spot along with the rating point of 746.

As per Mithali’s performance in the final match series against England, she becomes the leading batsman in ICC Women’s ODI ranking.
