India loses by an innings and 76 runs against England in the Third Test at Headingley

Indian Cricket team faced the loss in the third Test match against England at Headingley, Leeds. It was a humiliating defeat for the Indian side as they lost by an innings and 76 runs.

England Cricket Team won the third Test match against India which was being held at Headingley, Leeds. England beat India by an innings and 76 runs and levelled the series by 1-1. English Cricket team did a great job in the third Test after their humiliating defeat at Lord’s Cricket Ground in the second Test match.

The English side didn’t even let the match go to the fifth day as they defeated India on day 4 in only the first session. The Indian team was all out on 278 in the second innings. England bowlers stunned Indian batsmen in the first as well as in the second innings. The first innings of this third Test were bad for India as they were all out on 78 on Day 1. England batted well as captain Joe Root scored a magnificent 121 runs from 165 balls and David Malan who was been selected for this match scored 70 runs from 128 balls.

The Indian team was not in a bad position after the day 3 game ended, they were 215/2 with Kohli and Pujara in the crease. But, as soon as day 4 started, the wickets started to fall, set batsman Pujara went out for 91 and Kohli went for 55. The lower middle-order batsmen of India also couldn’t manage to hold up in the crease for long. The English pacer Ollie Robinson was the hero of the fourth day’s gameplay as he took 4 wickets and helped his side to level the series by 1-1. It was a bad day at the office for the Indian Cricket team.

The fourth Test will be starting from the 2nd of September. The Indian team will be looking to bounce back after this humiliating defeat against the English side at Headingley, Leeds.
