India leads the ICC World Test Championship points table

India is currently in the top position of the WTC points table. The World Test Championship will be held between 2021 to 2023 and the two teams on top will meet each other in the finals.

World Test Championship 2021-2023 has already started and the teams qualified for the Championship have started playing their Test Match. Thus, India is on 1st in this World Test Championship (WTC 2021-2023) points table. The Indian cricket team is currently in England for their 5 Test Match series against the England Cricket Team. 2 out of 5 Test matches have already been played between them.

India grabbed the top position in the WTC 2021-2023 by winning their 2nd Test match in Lord’s cricket ground against England. It was a historic win for Virat Kohli’s men as he became only the third captain to win a Test match at Lord’s. Before this, the Indian legendary captain, MS. Dhoni and legend Kapil Dev were the ones to register the win at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

India has 14 points after 2 games and is sitting at the top leaving behind Pakistan and West Indies who both have 12 points. Pakistan and West Indies have also won 1-1 matches against each other. Meanwhile, Indian fans think they would have won the first test against England as well but the rain ruined everything. Two points from both India and England were deducted after the first Test match as they both were charged for the slow over-rate. Thus, England stays in fourth position with 2 points. Other teams like Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc haven’t played a single match in this World Test Championship 2021-2023 that’s why their points tally in the table is still 0.
