The experienced opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan came to bat for the Indian Side. The first powerplay was dominated by the visitors as men in blue lost early wickets. The veteran opening partners were dismissed for a low total of 23 runs and Virat Kohli on a duck at the second ball of his innings.

Indian innings came back to track when the 4th wicket Partnership between Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer of 100 runs saved the innings for the men in blue. Iyer scored a valuable 80 runs and got out to Hayden Walsh.
In the end, Deepak Chahar cameo with the bat of 38 runs, and a solid partnership with Washington Sundar was very helpful in India registering a total of 265 runs in 50 overs.

Visitor’s chase started similarly to that of the home side losing three wickets in the first power play. The opening pair of Shai Hope and Brandon King just put a total of 19 runs before going back to the pavilion. The wickets fell at a regular interval which made it difficult for the visitors to chase the target and eventually lost the match. The Indian bowling unit was very effective in the second innings as all of them at least registered 2 wickets except Washington Sundar who was not able to open his account.

The men in blue will take on West Indies in the T20I series which starts on 16TH February in Kolkata.
