IND vs BAN: Check out India’s plan to bounce back in 2nd ODI

After losing the opening ODI against Bangladesh in the ongoing series played at the Bengal Tigers’ home stadiums, India will be aiming to get back into the match. The first ODI was an exciting match, but by the end, the greens had the upper hand. Bangladesh’s middle and top order made some poor decisions, but Shakib Al Hasan’s five-fer and Mehidy Hasan’s crucial innings helped to make up for it.

A loss in the second One-Day International for India could result in back-to-back series defeats in Bangladesh, the most recent one occurring in 2015. Their strategy for dealing with left-arm spin would be the first thing they would want to get right. Shakib is at the top of the charts and will once more raise issues for India.

If Axar Patel is available, India may substitute him for Shahbaz Ahmed, which would improve the team’s batting lineup and possibly help them win the second ODI. Debutant Kuldeep Sen will probably get another opportunity to turn the tables for the blues as well as his newly commenced career in the senior team. It will be doubtful to look for a replacement for Shardul Thakur who earlier suffered cramps in the first ODI but is considered to be fit for the second match.

“We need to learn and understand how to play on such wickets. No excuses for us because we are used to these wickets. I don’t really know how much they can improve in a couple of practice sessions. I feel the genes are there and it’s only about handling pressure. I am sure these guys will learn and we look forward to the next game.” – Rohit Sharma said after the first ODI.
