Marnus Labuscagne and Steve Smith’s crucial partnership was broken by Jadeja, sending both set batsmen back to the pavilion. Labuschagne’s bat was first broken by the left-armer before he was stumped, and Steve Smith’s wicket was later cleaned.
Ravi Chandran Ashwin, who returned with figures of 3/42, provided Jadeja with strong support.
