The National Cricket Academy has cleared all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to play in the series-opening Nagpur Test against Australia.
The NCA issued a fitness report on his readiness to participate on Wednesday (February 1), clearing the way for him to join the rest of the squad in Nagpur for a short camp in preparation for the Test and series.
Jadeja last played for India in the Asia Cup in Dubai in August 2022. A knee injury sustained there necessitated surgery, putting him out of commission for five months. He missed the T20 World Cup in Australia, and despite being named to return on the Bangladesh tour, he was eventually withdrawn.
