During the ongoing test series match between India and Australia, Mohammed Shami, by hitting the first six in the 125th over and then back-to-back sixes in the 131st over, surpassed Virat Kohli’s record for most sixes in a test match. Shami’s sixes came during the bowling spell of Todd Murphy, who had taken six wickets by then. Virat has smashed 24 sixes thus far, while Shami has hit 25 in his career in test cricket. Other well-known Brendon McCullum, a former swashbuckling New Zealander, hit 107 sixes in the 101 Tests games for the country. After Mohammad Shami and Virat Kholi, the players with more sixes are Yuvraj Singh, who hit 21, and KL Rahul hit  17 sixes in test cricket.
