It has been officiated by some sources BCCI that Bumrah is set to play for the 2nd T20I, followed by his 1st T20I’s exclusion from the playing XI.
It seems that the blues are overdependent on the veteran pacer, especially for the death overs, which Indian pacers have performed poorly in the recent Asia Cup.
In the last 4 critical T20Is of team India, the leader-in-charge for the bowling unit, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has performed appallingly. Kumar conceded 19 runs in the 19th over against Pakistan, during the important game of Super 4 where Pakistan dominated India with a win. Sri Lanka shattered India’s dream to reach the finals in which Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded 14 runs in the 19th over.
While playing against Afghanistan, Bhuvneshwar did not bowl in the death overs. Coming to the previous game against Australia, Bhuvneshwar conceded 15 runs in the 17th over, while 16 runs in the 19th.
Talks about Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s inclusion in the playing XI are doubtful but it has been seen that Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s job can be a lot easier after Bumrah’s comeback into the playing XI.
India can utilise Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the powerplay while Jasprit Bumrah, called the king of death overs, can take the crucial responsibility where the team has been seen lacking in the recent form.
