India’s Ishan Kishan has proven himself as one of the most lethal batsmen in T20 cricket since making his T20I debut a year ago. In the present five-match T20I series against South Africa, Ishan became the first batsman to reach 200 runs. On Sunday (June 19), during the series’ final deciding match in Bangalore, he completed 206 runs. Lungi Naidu dismissed Ishan for 15 runs off 7 balls, including two sixes.
He’s also the third Indian batsman to score the most runs for India in a T20I match’s first over. During the fifth match of the ongoing series, he scored 15 runs off the first five balls of the first over. He’s only behind Virendra Sehwag (18) and Rohit Sharma (17).
He top-scored for India in the opening T20I with a stunning 76 off 48 balls, helping them to a total of 211. He hit a high kick 34 from 21 balls in the second T20I. Kishan made another half-century in the third T20I, scoring 54 runs off 35 balls. During the fourth T20I match, Ishan faced 26 balls and hit 27 runs with three fours and a six.
