IND v SA: BCCI announces T20 Indian team; K L Rahul to lead the team

The five-match home T20I series against South Africa, which begins on June 9, will be led by KL Rahul. On Sunday, the national selectors convened to choose India’s team.

The Board for Control of Cricket in India, on Sunday, revealed the most awaited squad for the forthcoming South Africa T20 series to begin on June 9.

KL Rahul has been named as the series’ captain, while Rishabh Pant has indeed been picked as the vice-captain.

T20I Squad – KL Rahul (Capt), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant(VC) (wk), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Hardik Pandya, Venkatesh Iyer, Y Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, R Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Umran Malik.

Meanwhile, for the T20 series against South Africa, Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj have been rested.

Meanwhile, Dinesh Karthik has made a return to the squad along with Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav. With Harshal Patel and Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will spearhead the pace attack.Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh have received their first India call-up.
