Avesh Khan, seam bowler of India, was outstanding in the fourth match of the home T20I series against South Africa on Friday, conceding only 18 runs while taking four wickets, which is also his best figures in the T20I, including three in a single over and playing a key role in India’s victory.
Dwayne Pretorius (0) was dismissed in the sixth over, while Rassie van der Dussen (20), Marco Jansen (12), and Keshav Maharaj (0) were dismissed in the 14th over.
Avesh bowled a sharp bouncer to Marco Jansen in the 14th over that was missed by the batsman, who was hit in the helmet. While expecting that he would walk off the field, he decided to continue but was dismissed by Avesh in the very next ball.
India won the fourth T20I against South Africa by 82 runs at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot on Friday, tying the five-match series at 2-2. South Africa, chasing a total of 170, continued to lose wickets at regular intervals and were subsequently bowled out for a modest 87.
The Proteas battled with the bat from the beginning and were knocked out for just 87 runs, with Avesh Khan getting a four-wicket haul after being wicketless in the series.
