IND v NZ 1st T20I: As Ruturaj Gaikwad is injured, will Prithvi Shaw get a chance in the playing XI?

There is a bad news for India ahead of this series as their opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has sustained a wrist injury and has been ruled out of this series against New Zealand. As after this news, the fans want to know who the two Indian openers will be in this T20I series. As skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli haven’t been picked up for this series so it is obvious that India will go with the young ones in the opening.


Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, and Prithvi Shaw are likely options for India in the opening position. As both the batters namely Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan are in exceptional form, so they are likely to be in the India’s starting XI. Prithvi Shaw isn’t expected to be in the team for the first T20I against New Zealand in Ranchi.
