After that, India won their first-ever T20I series in the country with a historic 2-1 victory against England during the 2018 tour.  India won the five-match series 3-2 at home the previous year. They now have the chance to defeat England 3-0.

In men’s T20I cricket, India also surpassed Sri Lanka’s record for the most consecutive series victories over England. From 2008 to 2014, Sri Lanka had three victories.
