Indian bowler Bhuvaneshwar Kumar leads the list of bowlers to have the most first over wickets in T20I with a total of 13 wickets.
Bhuvneshwar now leads the list of batsmen with the most first-over wickets owing to his dismissal of Jos Buttler in the first of the three T20I matches against England.
Bhuvaneshwar also has the most wickets in T20I powerplay. He was on an even standing with Tim Southee and Samuel Badree. 33 wickets have already been taken by the three of them during powerplays. The only three bowlers to bowl more than 100 overs during the powerplay in T20Is too are Bhuvneshwar, Badree, and Southee.
Earlier in the match, India took control of the game after Hardik Pandya shook up England’s top order by grabbing three wickets in two overs. England is four wickets behind in their 199-run chase. In the fifth over, Hardik got rid of Liam Livingstone and Dawid Malan before defeating Jason Roy as well.
