IND v AUS Live: What went wrong for Australia in the first session of day 3

Australian side have been bowled out for 113 runs in their second innings on day 3.

Indian cricket team have started the day 3 in an exquisite way. It was a great comeback from the host in the first session of Day 3. The bowling performance was exceptional especially from both of the spin bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin.

All the wickets in the game was taken by these two bowlers only. Australian side was at a very good position at the end of the Day 2 as the visitors were leading by 62 runs and lost only a single wicket. But since the start of the day 3, Australia started losing wickets in quick succession.


What cost them these collapse? On the third day of the second Test between Australia and India, Australia’s aggressive sweep shot strategy cost them several key wickets, ultimately leading to a disappointing batting collapse.

The sweep shot has been a staple of Australian cricket for years. However, on this occasion, the strategy backfired as several Australian batsmen fell to the Indian spinners. The visitors could only score 51 runs and lost 9 wickets in the 20 overs bowled on the day 3’s first session.
