ICC Men’s Test Rankings: Kohli jumps two places to 5th position as Rishabh Pant also joins the top 10 list in batting

Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant are all in the latest ICC Men’s Test Rankings in the batting category, However, skipper Rohit has been dropped one place to 6th position in the list.

After the Indian cricket team won the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali, ICC released their latest rankings in all the categories i.e. batting, bowling, and all-rounders. After an emphatic victory against Sri Lankans in just 3 days of the 5-day match, a couple of Indian batsmen have improved their places in the ICC Men’s Test Rankings: Batting’s list. Former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has jumped two places to reach the 5th position in the list. Rishabh Pant who was been phenomenal in Test cricket in these 2 years has also joined the top 10 list in the batting category. The wicket-keeper batsman is in the 10th position in the latest rankings.

Team India’s skipper Rohit Sharma is also on this list but has dropped one place and he is now in the 6th position just behind the former Indian captain Virat Kohli who has recently played his 100th Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali. Talking about other batsmen in the list, Marnus Labuschagne tops the ICC Men’s Test Rankings: Batting’s list with the highest rating of 936. England in-form batter Joe Root followed the Australian batter (Marnus Labuschagne) in second place with a rating of 872.

There are also many big names in this list which include, Steven Smith, New Zealand’s skipper Kane Williamson, Pakistani batter Babar Azam, and so on.
