The Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj has held on to the number one spot in the ICC women’s ODI batting rankings while New Zealand’s Amy Satterthwaite has returned to the top five standings as released by ICC earlier today. The Indian skipper stands at 762 rating points in the topmost spot, Indian opener Smiriti Mandhana is placed in the 7th position.

The Black Caps international, Amy Satterthwaite made her way back into the top five ICC rankings after her unbeaten 79 in the first ODI against the English women. South African opener Lizelle Lee dropped to the second position in the rankings after being all square with Mithali on points last week as she missed the final two ODI matches against the West indies.
The England skipper Heather knight has also made a noticeable climb after her matching winning display of 89 runs in 107 balls against New Zealand opened the way for her to walk into the top ten after jumping five places to be sat in joint ninth place with Laura Wolvaardt and Natalie Sciver.
The Indian bowling veteran Jhulan Goswami has moved up a spot to the fourth position while the Indian spinner Poonam Yadav remains in ninth in the ICC bowling rankings. The England pair of Katherine Brunt and Sophie Ecclestone has gained a place each to sit in seventh and sixth respectively among the blowers. Deepti Sharma has moved to the fourth spot in the all-rounders’ list which is led by the Australian international Ellyse Perry.
