Gary Kirsten joins Pakistan team for World Cup preparations

Gary Kirsten, Pakistan’s new white-ball head coach, has joined the cricket team in Leeds, England. The team is set to compete in a four-match T20I series against England. Gary is excited to be a part of these games as they will help Pakistan prepare for the T20 World Cup in the United States.

Pakistan’s team, including captain Babar Azam, had warmed Gary with excellent remarks. He is well experienced and has good ball sense, having served as a team mentor and batting coach for the Gujarat Titans during the IPL 2024.

The team has increased its training sessions. Players will train from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm on May 20, then have their final training from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm – just before the T20I on May 21. This series represents the final preparation for the World Cup in the USA.

Both games are essential for both teams. The World Cup in the USA is only two days away, and the two sides will have to use this opportunity to test play strategies and rotating squad among other things.
