Felt good to get Kohli out: Scott Boland on WTC Final win against India

Australia has added another trophy to their impressive collection as they emerged victorious in the World Test Championship. The final match at the Oval concluded with a comprehensive win for the Australian team. While Australia was the favored side to win, India still held a glimmer of hope at the start of the final day.

The pitch didn’t offer much assistance to the bowlers, and India appeared comfortable during the initial stages of the day. However, the tide turned when Nathan Lyon bowled to Mohammed Siraj. Siraj attempted a reverse-sweep to a delivery that pitched at a good length, only to find the ball landing straight into the hands of backward point fielder. With that catch, the Australian captain sealed the win and the World Test Championship title.

The Australian team’s triumph signifies their dominance in the longest format of the game. Their exceptional performance throughout the tournament led them to this momentous victory. As the celebrations begin, Australia can revel in the accomplishment of capturing the only missing silverware in their already impressive trophy cabinet.

Scott Boland: It was good fun. Nice to come over here for our bowling group and take 20 wickets. Probably just hit similar areas all the time (bowling plans?). There was some bounce outside the off stump, tried to exploit that. Felt good to get Kohli out. Smudge took another amazing catch today and Green took some blinders throughout the game as well. Nice to have the confidence that if you’re going to find the nicks, they’re going to get taken. Been playing state cricket for Victoria for 12 years. Have done some hard work. Nice to play international cricket and get some wickets. Really looking forward to it (Ashes).
