England Women vs India Women: Mithali Raj scored half-century for the 64th time

Today 30th June 2021, Indian women’s cricket is playing their second one-day international against England women’s in Bristol. The squad of England women’s: Lauren Windfield Hill, Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight (C), Natalie Sciver, Amy Ellen Jones (wk), Sophia Dunkley, Katherine Brunt, Sarah Glenn, Sophie Ecclestone, Anya Shrubsole, Kate Cross.

On the other side, India women’s squad: Smriti Madhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Mithali Raj (c), Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Sneh Rana, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Shikha Pandey, Jhulan Goswami, Poonam Yadav. Heather Knight, England Women’s captain won the toss and elected to field first.


Indian women current score is 181 runs with the loss of eight wickets. Presently, Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj are on the crease. Jhulan Goswami just came to the crease after India lost Shikha Pandey’s wicket.

On the other side, Indian skipper Mithali Raj is at 57 runs off 89 balls, she has hit six boundaries yet and not a single sixer. The Indian skipper has reached fifty for the 64th time in her one-day International career. She is the only hope to save the batting innings for the Indian women team.

Before her Shafali Verma had also contributed 44 runs by playing 55 balls and hitting seven boundaries. She gave her wicket to Ecclestone. Right now Mithali Raj is the only hope to get the Indian women’s team to set a winning total.
