As the first innings of the 2nd T20 between England and Pakistan comes to an end, Pakistan evidently the team in control of the game.

A fantastic start by the two openers Fakhar Zaman and captain Babar Azam saw Pakistan reach 72 runs for the loss of no wicket by the 8th over. After Fakhar Zaman fell for a well made 36 runs of 22 balls, Captain Babar Azam took the command and scored a brilliant knock of 56 before losing his wicket to Adil Rashid, the same bowler that took the wicket of his opening partner.

However, there is no doubt that the star of the Pakistan batting innings was none other than the veteran, Mohammad Hafeez. He smashed the English bowlers all-round the park, scoring 69 runs of a mere 36 balls, clearing the boundary on four occasions. His remarkable effort took Pakistan to a huge total of 195 runs, at the loss of just 4 wickets.

While the England bowling attack had an expensive day out in the middle, leg-spinner Adil Rashid was the better of all the bowlers conceding 32 runs in his 4 overs and picking up the wicket of both the Pakistani openers.

Pakistan are definitely in the driving seat at the half-way stage of this one, however with fire-power England possess at the top of their batting order, we could have a very fascinating finish to this match.
