Indian spin bowler Yuzvendra Chahal was not been announced in the 15-man squad for the upcoming T20I World Cup Squad which is to be held in UAE from October. It was shocking for Indian fans as well as some former cricketers that one of the important bowlers of India in recent years, Chahal’s name was not been included in the 15-man squad. The Indian bowler’s wife Dhanashree Verma puts up a story on her official Instagram account to cheer him up after not getting selected into the squad.
“Mother Says… This time shall also pass. Keep your head high, talent and good deeds always support us,” a rough translation of Dhanashree Verma’s story which was written by her in Hindi on her official Instagram account.
Not only Yuzvendra’s wife but also many didn’t understand this decision of team management of not picking up the star spin bowler of India. Aakash Chopra, the commentator and the former Indian cricketer feels it was a bad decision taken by the Indian team management. The Indian commentator thinks that Chahal should be in the World Cup squad in place of pace bowler Mohammed Shami because he feels that the pacer is struggling with his form in the T20Is.
As Yuzvendra Chahal was excluded from the T20I World Cup squad, Rahul Chahar, ace bowler Ravichandran Ashwin, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and KKR bowler Varun Chakravarthy are the spin bowling options for India in the T20I World Cup 2021.
