
Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday (May 3) unveiled the schedule for the 2024-25 home season for the men’s and women’s teams. The Proteas men’s international season kicks off on 27th November with the Test series against Sri Lanka. It will culminate with the New Year Test against Pakistan starting on 3rd January 2024.
While Sri Lanka’s tour is limited to two Test matches, Pakistan’s visit is a multi-format tour featuring two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is.
The South Africa women’s side will host England for a multi-format series comprising three T20Is, three ODIs, and a one-off Test match.
Before the international assignments, the South Africa men’s ‘A’ side shall host Sri Lanka ‘A’ for three ODIs and two four-day games in August.
“As we open our doors to esteemed cricketing nations like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and England, we showcase the talent and competitiveness of South African cricket and celebrate the global appeal and camaraderie inherent in our beloved sport,” CSA chief Pholetsi Moseki said.
“These fixtures serve as a platform to compete and foster bonds between nations, uniting players and fans in the shared love for cricket.”
