The 19th match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2020 is scheduled for Aug 30th Thursday at 7:30 pm IST between Barbados Tridents vs St Lucia Zouks. The match will be played on Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
The toss is won by Barbados Tridents and so they opted to field.
St Lucia Zouks were the underachievers in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). However, this time around, things have changed for Daren Sammy Co as they have won four out of their first six matches. After losing their opener against Jamaica Tallawahs, they found a rhythm. Currently placed second in the points table after Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), the Zouks have done reasonably well.
This match is against the Barbados Tridents in the first of Sunday’s doubleheader in Trinidad. On head-to-head count, the Tridents are leading the Zouks by 10-5. But this season, the Zouks seem to have an upper hand, going by their current form. The Tridents are currently hanging midway in the points table and another loss could put them in a bit of a precarious position going ahead.
