Bhuvaneshwar Kumar creates T20I history; becomes first to bowl 500 dots

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a brilliant pacer for India, destroyed the English batting order while setting incredible records with his captivating spell.

In the second T20I against England at Edgbaston on Saturday, India’s dynamic swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar established a landmark T20I record and became the first bowler to ever bowl 500 dot balls.

The Indian is far ahead in the T20I dot ball total, followed by Mitchell Starc (354) and Samuel Badree (383) and Tim Southee (368).

A player of the match performance from him helped India win by 49 runs and take a comfortable 2-0 series lead.

In the second T2oI, Bhuvneshwar got things back on track, dismissing both of England’s openers, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler, in his first and second overs, respectively. The swing bowler defeated England’s new white ball skipper for the second time in a row, putting the hosts under stress from the get-go. He finished with bowling stats of 4-1-15-3 and also claimed the wicket of Richard Gleeson near the end.

Additionally, in the play’s shortest format, he leads all Indian bowlers in first-over wickets taken.
