BCCI reportedly seeks MS Dhoni’s help to convince Stephen Fleming for team India head coach role

With Rahul Dravid‘s tenure ending after the T20 World Cup, the BCCI is seeking a new coach until the next 50-over World Cup. The criteria for the role include a minimum of 30 Test matches or 50 ODIs, or experience as a head coach of a full member Test-playing team for two years.

While nothing has been finalized yet, various reports claim that the BCCI has asked for MS Dhoni’s help to convince CSK coach Stephen Fleming to take up the job of Team India’s head coach after Rahul Dravid. Dravid, the current coach, will soon be stepping down from his duties.

Other reports suggest that Gautam Gambhir, who is the mentor of KKR and has achieved great success with them in IPL 2024, could also be in the running for the post.
